The Event

Corporate Launch at Stirling Castle

i2detail initially designed two alternative proposals – one imaginatively utilising Oran’s warehouse space in Alloa to create a full size fun-fair, beer garden and barbeque; the second - the true taste of Scotland at a stunning Gala Evening to be held at Stirling Castle. Oran selected the castle venue.

Guests were given an introduction to their new company branding on arrival with the newly re-branded fleet proudly displayed on the castle esplanade. A champagne reception on the terraces gave guests the opportunity to meet and enjoy the stunning views.

Oran Group directors then presented future plans in a formal presentation followed by dinner and motivational speaker, Austin Lafferty. Surprise entertainment in the form of Shirley Bassey’s famous hits were performed live by the fabulous Maxine Barrie to the delight of Oran’s wide-ranging audience.

For the finale, guests made their way outdoors to the castle courtyard to enjoy a Beating Retreat from the pipe band.

i2detail prepared the budget, transportation alternatives for personnel travelling from across the UK, recommended entertainment, menu and coordinated all aspects of the gala event, ensuring the hosts were free to fully enjoy the evening with their colleagues.

The Assignment

The UK’s leading waste management company, The Oran Group acquired The Snowie Group in September 2005.

To celebrate the first anniversary of this acquisition, Oran commissioned i2detail to organise an event in Scotland to formally launch their new identity and reward staff for their loyalty throughout a year of change.
